2. Process:  
(1) Crushing: Put clean and dry licorice into the crusher and crush it. After 10 meshes screening, the licorice powder is prepared.  
(2) Extraction: The liquorice powder of certain quality is weighed and put into the reactor, adding 5 times the mass of water, heating and refluxing for 2.5 hours under stirring at above 85 C, filtering, filter residue and 3 times the mass of water are extracted again, and the Lu liquor is merged.  
(3) Concentration: Glycyrrhizic acid extract is concentrated in vacuum by thin film evaporator. When the volume of filtrate decreases by 4/5, it is filtered while it is hot.
(4) Separation: In the cooled concentrated filtrate, 95% ethanol of 1/2 capacity is added, then it stays overnight, and the precipitates such as plant proteins and polysaccharides are filtered out.
(5) Precipitation: In the concentrated liquor of glycyrrhizic acid treated above, the PH value of glycyrrhizic acid is adjusted by concentrated sulfuric acid to precipitate glycyrrhizic acid, and then centrifugal separation is carried out to obtain crude glycyrrhizic acid.
(6) Recrystallization: recrystallize with dilute ethanol at (60-70)degrees Celsius, and get wet glycyrrhizic acid after vacuum filtration.
(7) Drying: wet glycyrrhizic acid is put into the vacuum drying box, the vacuum is adjusted, and heated at (70-80) (?) C for (40-60) minutes, then dry glycyrrhizic acid is obtained.  
(8) Finished products: Dry glycyrrhizic acid is crushed and sifted to obtain glycyrrhizic acid finished products.
